In fairness, the guy just came right out and asked him if there was either a plan to unseat the Biden admin, or if it had already happened. If this were true, the fact that we don't know already is clearly intentional.

This means there was literally no other answer he could have given anyway. Firm denial was the only option. Evasion would be as good as an admission from him.
