You are correct that there are many false prophets out there and God instructs us that his word is written for us.. But there are many who are not, God has always spoken to man to guide us and have his will known. Reading the bible should have made you well aware of this...why would you think He would stop? I can tell you that God speaks to many, I am living proof. Those who are out to profit or gain power from it are usually fake....Those who wish to enlighten and act as shepherds for the Lord are not....
