The first one was good. Over the top villains, handsome savior, horrific monsters, mysterious science, even more mysterious religiosity.

Watch the docu -- "Jodorowski's Dune" and see where nearly ALL of the sci-fi memetics of the last 40 years. Then, F the Dune movies and read the first 4 books. Check out Holy Mountain, instead. That is a good movie.
