I didn’t realize how weird it all is that we’re wearing masks in public.
For the first time in almost a year I went in publish and held my head up high wearing no mask.
We got many stares and glances.
In the end we were ratted out by another customer who pointed at us and said “They should be wearing masks!” An employee asked us to put our masks on and we complied (we were in line checking out).
We all need to start doing this. Civil disobedience.
NOPE
Went to the feed store yesterday in the "hillbilly" part of the state. Got the cold shoulder from the staff for not wearing a mask.
Then had a guy who worked at the grocery store try to intimidate us and then called the police when we wouldnt put on masks. "Don't Treat on Me" tattoo right across his arm.
Not the ones where I'm at, I guess.
Red is in the neck of the beholder, I guess.
These people don't understand things like "don't tread on me" past the symbol. I know a guy who thinks he's an edgy republican flying the confederate flag, had to break it to him that he was flying the democrat slave flag.
Ugh. Unreal.
Made me smile. I have redneck friends. I'm half-hillbilly. Some believe they are one and the same. They are not, but perhaps there may be some that can't fight their way out of a box. I've been protected and surrounded by a few in some tough fights (when I was much younger). I have great respect for them.
