I've seen the term "color revolution" thrown around a lot (first by Lin Wood, then by many others), but I'm still having a hard time fully understanding the concept.
What I've been able to understand so far (which may be incorrect) is this:
A color revolution is a type of scheme to overthrow a government that was first used in certain Eastern European countries in the 1980s. It involves creating a contested election (I'm not sure whether this is always through the use of election fraud, or whether it sometimes involves other means), then somehow using this to instigate riots as a way to somehow allow a third party to step in and take over the government.
Is this correct? And if so, exactly how are the riots utilized in the grand scheme of the color revolution? Wouldn't it be easy for the country's armed forced to crush the riots? And how does this all cause a third party to take over?
Also, do you believe that the 2020 election fraud was a color revolution attempt like some (such as Lin Wood) have implied? If so, does this mean that the fraudsters actually wanted to be caught rather than successfully covering up their crimes, so the election would be contested? How would they have been able to use riots to allow a third party to take over? Would they only have been able to do this by riling up BLM and Antifa if President Trump had been able to defeat the fraud and stay in office? If so, does this mean that they actually wanted him to manage to stay in office so they could instigate the riots? Would the third party taking over have possibly been China or the U.N.?
What is a color revolution?
A seemingly "nonviolent" change in regime marked by "overwhelming" public support, ample media coverage and a tacit approval from the world at large.
There are certain conditions for a color revolution to be classified as such:

The real question behind color revolutions is whether these revolutions are genuine and have grassroot origins or not. Most view color revolutions to be manufactured and orchestrated by foreign actors with the Russians & Chinese viewing them as a product of American (read here as C_A) interference with intent to destabilize. Now do some research into the actual color revolutions that have taken place recently with emphasis on the Middle East (hint: yes, they were all conducted to destabilize an existing regime with remarkable efficacy).
Now let's look at the events surrounding the 2020 election fraud. The whole farce is centered around a few key factors:
I agree with Lin Wood. The steps are a bit different, but I find that the circumstances and series of events leading up to the election and after the election can be characterized to be a color revolution.
