GOP Rep. Ron Wright of Texas has died after a recent battle with coronavirus, his office campaign Monday.
Wright, 67, tested positive for Covid-19 last month and had been hospitalized in Dallas for the past two weeks. He also was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2018 and had been hospitalized last September for complications related to his cancer treatments. https://www.politico.com/news/2021/02/08/gop-rep-ron-wright-dies-after-covid-battle-467238
Normally, don't they mention the stage (or of it's in remission)? Like "Agressive Stage 4", or "currently on remission". Definately a tell when they leave that out.
I think another key piece of the story is this: " A special election will now likely be held in 2021 to select a new representative for the suburban district, which has been trending more Democratic in recent years. Mitt Romney carried the district by 17 points in 2012. Trump won it by 12 points in 2016 and then by just 3 points in 2020. "
Seems like they are trying to build background that will justify flipping the district. Odd right after the NY district was flipped to Red with that court win last Friday. "Take one of ours, and we'll COVID one of you and take one back."
I'd love to see his voting history, specifically if he was a Piglosi enabler or not.
