Surprise, surprise, the lefty mayors in the only major cities in Iowa want to keep you under their thumb. Disgustingly apparent. I had the misfortune of living in Des Moines for a few years, in such a beautiful, conservative state, that city was and continues to be a lefty stronghold in the worst way.
