That's what they are called, not the name of the city. "...from the military district of Washington".
From their website:
JOINT FORCE HEADQUARTERS - NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION U.S. ARMY MILITARY DISTRICT OF WASHINGTON
Edit: not trying to burst hopes, but don't think that had any meaning by stating they are from the Military District of Washington since that's part of their name.
FYI: That’s the name of the military command in DC, since 1921. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Army_Military_District_of_Washington
If one can trust the wiki
I heard about this the other night (I only watched the game) and no one posted a clip, so TY very much for this! I wanted to hear what was said.
While I'm NOT saying it's 100% proof we never hear DC referred to as "The Military District of Washington." IF it has been I ask someone to provide sauce, otherwise I believe this confirms that the military IS in control.
You take this with everything else we've seen -- the thousands of troops, the walls, the sketchy inaug, the non-21 gun salute, the troops disrespecting Pedo Joe . . . it all starts to add up.
