You are correct in that your current status as "US Citizen" makes you an indentured servant and not eligible to truly own any of the Queen's "Real (Royal) Estate.
You can however take full ownership of your property and never pay property taxes on it again. You need to correct your political status to an "American State National/Citizen" and then get a title search done back through your land patent. That all takes some time, but once complete, no more taxes.
FWIW, I don't know how that applies if you're currently at risk of losing said property. Can you do a refi to get the cash to come current?
