you're not crazy. That's pure indoctrination. It's subtle because that's what they like to do-- "you must have misunderstood" and play semantic games.

If the classroom is their new family and the teacher is their new "parent" then the next step is the keeping of secrets within "the family"

There is nothing good, redeeming, or upright about that. Only terrible things can evolve.
