The problem you now face as do all of these other people, is "what do I have to give up/change about my lifestyle to afford the this thing I need?"

And yes, certain actions of certain newly-elected officials certainly contributed to worsening your situation, and you are justified in your feelings about that. But a little perspective goes a long way. You're not the first person on the planet to be dealt a shitty hand. Find a way, like everyone else ever.
