I believe that they didn't use evidence of election fraud or the Capitol event being a false-flag because it would have been enormously counterproductive.
Think about it. If fraud and/or the false-flag would have been made into part of the defense argument, the defense would essentially be backing the rats into a corner. And rats never fight back harder than when they are backed into a corner.
The choice would be A: vote not to convict, and thus tacitly admit that they're guilty of complicity in election fraud and/or a false-flag event, or B: vote to convict in order to keep up the facade of their innocence. You know which way they'd choose.
Thus, making election fraud and/or the false-flag part of the defense argument would have likely guaranteed that President Trump would get convicted.
Instead, the defense team didn't back the rats into a corner, and instead give them the chance to vote not to convict without tacitly admitting to the fraud or the false-flag. This much lowers the chance of conviction.
There are other, far more effective, opportunities to challenge the fraud (possibly before the Supreme Court or some other venue). But the correct strategy for the impeachment trial is "live to fight another day".
I said something similar yesterday. Trump has 44 Senators in his corner right now, if election fraud was presented he may lose some of that support. How many of these 44 Senators might be part of the election fraud themselves. They voted to call the impeachment unconstitutional to prevent backlash from their constituents but they may drop their support if they feel threatened with election fraud allegations.
Right, but they said today that they only need a majority to disqualify him from ever running again. That's what they're shooting for.
Lots of people talking about Trump bringing back the original Constitution, him being the 19th President, moving the capital out of DC, leaving the old system behind. Would it matter if they disqualified him? They don't chose who our President is, the people do. BTW, I'm from MI also, nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you, too! Love the state and people, not the governor. As for Trump, I'm praying for that all the time, but every day that goes by makes me a little more nervous that it's not going to happen. Trying to have hope, though. I know things have to get worse before they get better. But with so much at stake, it's a little terrifying, tbh.
Biden has only been in office for 23 days, I know it feel like forever. Give it a little more time, Trump knows what he is doing. He would have never allowed the democrats to steal this election if he didn't have a plan to trap them. He knew how they used Dominion and smartmatic to steal elections in the past. In fact Q and white hat hackers stopped the steal in 2016 and could have done it again. They didn't so that tells me they have a plan in place. Keep watching. its going to be biblical.
