Were they ordered to act this way? How else do you explain lying so blatantly knowing Trumps lawyers would point it out. Were they told to do this purposely so people could see how dishonest they were? They are not stupid. They are cocky. But no level of cockyness is would explain why they seemingly walked right into that trap.
