Either he knew about it and didn’t act, which would be unpardonable. Or he somehow didn’t find out about it until he no longer lived there? That just seems way too far-fetched for me.
Am I missing something here that someone can help me with?

Is that what you're expecting when you say he didn't act on them? How do we know that he did or didn't act? Maybe that is why there are random earthquakes bc they are slowly destroying them. Many possibilities why this can still be feasible.
Just because the news isn't reporting it doesn't mean it didn't happen or isn't happening. MSM lies all the time and reports garbage. When the world is ready for the truth we will find out.
