I think the panel was not to examine ALL children...only the ones who are trans, opposite sex on their birth certificate, but want to play for the 'other' side.
No if you read the article it is to examine all girls. Little, underage school girls. There isn’t a good excuse under God’s sun to look at a little child’s genitalia. You go by what is on that child’s birth certificate or medical records - maybe even both. But you damn sure don’t go looking at children’s genitalia. The fact that I even have to reiterate this on this board, makes me very worried I’m in the wrong place.
'House Bill 372 would redefine gender as “a person’s biological sex at birth” in state law, require state-funded schools and associations to ban participants they deem not “biologically” male or female from sports, and calls for a panel to examine information about the genitalia or chromosomes of any participant who petitions otherwise.'
TRANS students can petition to play sports on 'other sex' team and are the ones subject to the exams.
It references any participant, not specifically “trans” students. But regardless, there’s just no excuse to look at children’s genitalia, male or female. There are DNA tests, birth certificates, medical records - a plethora of means to identify gender, with out examining a child’s genitalia. Did you also see where there is no civil or disciplinary liability for this “panel”?

There are two bills being reported on in the article...they are both about stopping TRANS students from playing on a team of opposite gender. they are both saying the same thing. Children who want to play sports on a team of their birth gender will show birth certificates, medical records.
children who want to identify as opposite sex from birth cert/medical records must petition to play. they are the ones subject to enhanced proofs of what they are.
If parents want to claim their children are NOT the same sex as they were born, clearly they've been talking about penis and vagina way earlier than normal. if they choose to subject their kids to exams by doctors, how is that any worse than permitting them to think they can wish a penis away?
School doctors always have protections.
