A portion of my retirement yes. Child support, just until my kids get older. What I hate about child support is sort of monetizes the kids which turns it into WW3 if any of them want to live with me (which a couple do). I was in the Army when I originally seperated so physical custody wasn't an option as I was deploying to Iraq. Now I am retired and what will probably happen is I will just pay the same and have my son live with me just to avoid the drama
Thank you for this info very helpful as my father went through this very thing and I never wanted to ask him! Thank you for your service and the sacrifices you have made for this Country! People like you are the reason we still have this great country and the freedoms we still have left. I hope you and your Kids have a great future and good health!
I initially got mad about it but life is too short to be mad and materialistic, now I just accept it and do the best I can to make sure I earn for my kids and to try and be in a good position to be there for my kids as they get older. Failing financially but mentally and spiritually I am in a good place . My kids are all teenagers so I didn't miss their younger years, missing alot now but it is what it is. I do my best and catch up as much as I can in the summer (different States).
So do you have to pay forever or how does that work?
