I’ve been digging into this. Events that occurred in 1889 when we last saw weather like this. Hilter born. The great flood. Autists definitely needed. I feel like this weather is definitely significant right now. Just trying to correlate it with 1889.

Something weird going on. Several people posting videos of the "snow" where they are does not melt when a flame is put to it, but does turn black and emit a chemical smell.
That ain't snow.
It is real snow. When lit, the melted water is absorbed by the remaining snow and the black residue is soot.
Soot comes from hydrocarbons.
Where are the hydrocarbons in snow (H2O only, no carbon)?
The soot comes from the lighter fuel or matchstick. This non-melting snow thing has been popping up intermittently for years.
Sugartree is 100% right.
Also a good point.... basic chem does back this.
Thank you fren
Honestly. Now I want to try that.. duped or not. I’m in Illinois so this is normal for us. But not this late into winter. If I take a lighter to the snow and that happens I’ll probably shit a brick. ?
