I think the Deep State planned to assassinate him on January 20 on live TV (and pin it on a Trump supporter), and that he knew it when he made his speech. But President Trump had 25,000 National Guard troops there to make sure that didn't happen.

Some teachers got letters from somewhere high up the chain warning them not to let their schoolchildren watch the inauguration live in case there was violence.
