Have an honest question about the military

I wonder how things are able to play out with the Biden administration vetting military generals etc changing guards, making sure they're part of "his team". We've seen the changes and I am confused on this part. How do things happen, will things happen under these circumstances? Sorry about my ignorance here.

You can also factor in candidates for the service academies, who love their country and are patriots, DO get appointments to the academies from the most liberal members of congress. Stating this as FACT. Also ROTC and OCS make up most of the officers from colleges all around the country.
