I wouldn't worry too much for the older folks getting the vaccines. It is anyone in childbearing years and younger that should stay far away from this poison. Yes, we do not know how effective the vaccine is or long term effects, but there is strong evidence of it causing sterilization. That is why I am guessing some states are putting homeless, drug addicts, and minority at the front of the line to get it. These people are sick.
My father in law in his 80's is about to get his second dose, and mother in law is also waiting to get hers. As nervous as I am for them about the adverse reactions (which seem to coincide with the percentage rate of a flu vaccine for comparison), if it makes them feel more safe to travel and do other things I think and pray that they will be ok.
My 74 year old mom has had first dose of Moderna with no side effects so far.
Exactly my position on it. My parents' fear has been devastating, exacerbated by 2 siblings that bought the lie. If this vaccine gives them some semblance of normalcy, then I just pray they'll be okay. I have asked both my young adult daughters to postpone it until there's more data.
