I’ve said this before but Eddie Griffin did a comedy show one night here locally. Well I always like to go to the last show on the last night because they generally give you a killer show or longer than usual at least. Well this was just after MJ passed. Eddie brought this up because he and MJ were close. In fact Eddie was the first person there when anyone found out. Now Eddie is a straight shooter most can tell who have heard him. That night he was candid and I mean candid after the show about how MJ was a great human and it’s disgusting to think that his fans speak of him that way. He said that MJ as we all knew went through hell as a child and adult and still had compassion and live for others like no one had seen. He mentioned his philanthropic heart but more so his overall generosity. How yes MJ was robbed of a childhood and for the most part a life and always wanted that. He mentioned how his kids lived MJ and as a father he had no reservations of them being left alone with MJ. This was a dude that literally was hurt speaking about a friend for about 20-30 minutes and it made a huge impression on my feelings towards this. I was on the fence because prior but I left that night doubting nothing about MJ and what the media told us.
