I don't think Conservatives dwell on the wage issue, that's what liberals do. We simply think you're putting a band aid on a bullet wound. The problem is inflation.
If increasing wages solved the problem, why doesn't it work in Africa or the Middle East? Maybe because the denomination of your wage doesn't mean anything.
If you make 1000 Zimbabwean dollars an hour, it doesn't mean much if you have to stack bills into a cart to buy a loaf of bread. A loaf of bread is over 6000 ZWD or $17 USD. How does this help poor people?
