My relationship with my son is much closer than I had with my mother. Not sure if all comes from the fact that I breastfed him or because I put being a wife and mother before any other role in my life. My mother is an ex hippy feminist who goes to church but believes in abortion and is a proud card carrying democrat who will excuse anything someone with a D after their names says or does. I love her but I don't always like her.
