What a truly criminal and shitty department the ATF is. You dont get to edit dictionaries to redefine guns and use this creative illiteracy as an authority to commit crime. 'Deeming' things to be guns, changing definitions.. if this impacts any law its null and void because the ATF are not legislators.

If you or I went before a court and told the judge we changed words and so therefore we have an entitlement to do crime now, the judge and jury would apply the maximum sentence and extend the middle finger... and rightfully so. Treat the ATF in the same way.
