Most likely will need dozens of shots. They are saying maybe 3 times a year. So perhaps it will not fully work until people are repeatedly vaccinated year after year. Just a theory.
That's terrible. I got into an argument with a doctor at a party and he basically called me an anti-vaxer. It's the new scarlett letter. You can't win against a doctor unless you are a doctor because they have all the nomenclature at their fingertips and they can make you look stupid. I tried to discuss the cytokine storm in covid and he blasted me with "do you know what that is? Do you?" Not worth the effort. As a wise quantum computer said, this movie isn't for everyone.
My husband went for his yearly physical today...doctor was a jerk and got belligerent when my hubby declined the flu shot, said he didn't like the risk/benefit ratio and the doc went off the deep end. "Well don't blame me when you get the flu!". I could imagine the conversation if hubby were in the group to be offered the covid shot in our state (very blue, in case that wasn't apparent!). I cancelled my yearly, since last year I said no to tetanus, flu and shingles. But more on point: I have to remind myself to stay calm during these confrontations about anything like this. Those on the other side certainly can't. Ideally you could have asked that doc to kindly explain cytokine storm to you...could he have??? Hmm...

Switch doctors. Most are sheep and just do as their told.
