To be honest the right eye doesn’t look so different. Therefore, I might conclude allergies. Additionally, left eye could have been laser surgery such as LASIK or Diabetic Retinopathy Tx or maybe Cataract surgery. Small procedure likely related if that’s what he mentioned and if this clip is since that time.
