A friend of mine is head of a department for a financial company. He’s so frustrated because his liberal woke boss insists he hire either a black person or a woman for a job position and he has to keep passing up highly qualified white men until he finds what his boss wants. He’s been interviewing forever to fill this position. His boss said just higher a black person or a woman even if they’re not qualified, which frustrates my friend because then his department has to pick up the slack for the unqualified person just so his boss feels good about himself. I’m not saying there aren’t qualified blacks or women that can do the job, it’s just this seems like some kind of “ism” towards white males. I don’t know the equivalent word of racism or sexism when it’s directed towards white men.
This happens. I’ve worked in corporations and they measure diversity (race, female) to capture a %. They probably get funding of some sort if so. In terms of what it is called towards white men, it’s racist and sexist. Just the same directed towards a different person.

See the vice article about how the ice-cream machines are largely broken in the mcdonalds franchises in black neighborhoods, and how clearly it was racism against the poor blacks that was to blame for them having substandard machines?
Until an investigation found out that the black workers at these places dont bother cleaning the machines, and dont call for them to be repaired when they subsequently break down.
The cost of diversity in the workforce! The same thing happened with the water supply and treatment plants for Flint, MI. If you abandon quality standards in staffing, in maintenance, things will fail. And the same people demanding that standards be abandoned will be those killed first due to a lack of those standards.
