Thomas' opinion in dissent isn't all that impressive anyway. He still contends that mail-in ballot rule changes didn't alter the effect of the election. However, he thought they should hear the case to hopefully impact it for next time around. He also states that the court isn't a good solution for post-election remedies because they are hamstrung once the deadline has passed. Of course, they also refused to hear the case BEFORE the deadline (though Thomas didn't refuse).
