Calling Christianity and fundamentalists out for it/their bullshit hardly lays grounds to assume one doesn’t believe in god or even that one doesn’t believe in Christ. Well aware of “mere Christianity” thx tho. I’ve read the Bible cover to cover once fully, taking notes and referencing itself as I read, took almost two years. I’ve read a shot ton of diatribes and philosophies on god and Christ. The ultimate conclusion is that most folks are wrong but also right at the same time. And ultimately if you follow the books in the Bible that aren’t simply bullshit (as most of New Testament is) then you realize it doesn’t matter if how when why where what people believe - just that they believe something is all that’s important. God will sort everything else out. If it takes lifetimes, then it takes lifetimes, if it takes years it takes years, but ultimately it’s all of little consequence to god and to the individual (the alpha and the omega). The biggest flaw most people, especially fundies, have in their belief is falling for the trap of wanting to personify god as if god is created in our image instead of the other way around, as a means to a phony “understanding” or “knowing” of god.
The easy does a far better job of explaining our role and relationship to/of/with god ... however it is not as easily digestible which is where western religions get things right more often... they focus less on the mechanics of the operational structure and more on the end product.
Regardless, not going to go back and forth and argue with anyone more than I have. Good luck on your journey - we are all (well most of us) going to the same place in the end, and god isn’t going to give two fucks about this blip of time even tho it seems important to us .... there is a whole multiverse and cosmos to run after all.
