This is the whole mark of the beast system really. Taking the mark is giving consent to the evil system and then before you know it your soul is lost.

So yeah it looks like we will need an entirely separate economic system until the beast regime is fully operational. They can probably threaten to pull banks from the various international payment systems, which would be a death knell for most banks.
