Ben Carson talked about how public Trump is one guy, who plays a sort of goofy, aloof, bombastic character. He made the mistake of talking about how Trump behind closed doors is a much more serious, calculated, eloquent guy. Watch videos of him in the 80's and 90's. When he'd speak in front of audiences you could see everyone's interest and engagement in what Trump was speaking about. They all have this expression like "wow yeah, this guys got it figured out".

I think the mans IQ would be pretty fuckin impressive and he's smart enough to play dumb for his enemies.

I've wondered the past few years if Trump's connection with the McMahons and WWE was indicative of an interest in learning about showmanship. Pro wrestling has got it down when it comes to creating compelling characters and narratives, and understanding crowd psychology
