Thing is John Carpenter made "They Live" as a take that at Reagan. I think possibly like with "The Matrix" (which was made by brothers who are now trannies) some of these lefty directors and screenwriters felt a need to wake up the normies but they themselves were mistaken about who is keeping people asleep.
