Potential habbening in southwestern NC

I'm hearing a heli flying ellipses in my area. Deep rotors, but not as loud as a Chinook. Sounds like it could be in a search pattern, as it keeps getting closer and further away, and over time getting further and further away.

https://globe.adsbexchange.com/ doesn't show anything but military planes (no copters) in western NC. I don't see any commercial helicopters either. So it's probably military and on a mission.
