Discernment, do your own research. Vet everything you can. Ask posters for the "sauce" (source/references/recipes). Look at where the info is ultimately coming from. Read the source material. Try to find a second opinion and pick theories apart in a logical way. If you can discredit the theory, put it to rest in a respectful and, if possible, constructive way.
