From my research I believe animal testing has been done on MRNA vaccines in the past. Not covid specifically (so e are both right) but the older animal testing went horrifically bad.

In essence your still right, because they had already done testing on animals before this vaccine, they knew it would be necessary to skip that phase, so they did. Extra sinister. At least that’s my best grasp of the situation.
