Actually, on second thought after thinking more about your "NEWS BEACONS aka PREISTS" comment, it makes a lot of sense.
They are broadcasting that they need more adrenochrome/children (probably part of their deals), and the child trafficking johns/coyotes & adrenochrome sources still out there & in the game flock to them for the big payouts...
