I believe so. Our whole involvement in Syria under Obama was essentially a proxy war between two competing pipelines: US-Qatar-Turkey vs Russia-Syria(Assad) if I remember correctly. (Old memories so could totally be off.) The two planned pipelines literally crossed at Aleppo, couldn’t have been more obvious.

I am convinced that all oil explanations are fall-back propaganda proffered reasons for territorial conflict. The real reason for conflict is that the Cabal thrives on chaos and manipulating market-swings. When you can loot a year's worth of global GDP in an engineered stock-market crash, you don't get about mere billions in commode net-revenue.
