Does anyone have a guess as to why there are national guard troops still in DC?

I have been thinking that the plan to save American might just involve those NG troops in DC and the troops just aren't being told that as to keep the enemy from knowing. What are your thoughts on this?

You may be right. Q said there would be no civil war in post 1664. Q probably wants no violence from Trump supporters.
