If you're wrong about what they experienced, you'll never know it. If they had reasons not to tell you, you'll never know. You relied on them telling you everything. If someone threatened to kill you if they told, would they have risked your life? Your arrogance is astounding, but for your kids sake, I hope they never had to tell you what you wanted to hear, rather than the truth.
