Go to City-Data.com and look up the LGTQDMV household population in your area. Its a smaller percentage than you think.

Los Angels, California for example;

Likely homosexual households (counted as self-reported same-sex unmarried-partner households)

-Lesbian couples: 0.5% of all households

-Gay men: 0.7% of all households
