He is 6. Started of by saying "his throat feels spicy". Went through the day like it was normal.
This morning he crawled into bed with me and the wife. I heard his breathing, sounded pretty ragged, but the brain didn't process it. Then I woke up 10 minutes ago and immediately went to the medicine cabinet to get him decongestion medicine.
I'm pretty convinced I had the junk in November 2019 (I was flying back and forth to San Francisco and Houston for work). It was hell when the coughing fits started. I'm more than a little worried right now. Could be nothing, but I'm preparing for the worst.
I know we all know the numbers. I know we laugh and joke at folks wearing masks and what not. Hell, we know kids are more likely to survive than adults. But any parent knows when your kid gets sick you stress, and I went from sound asleep to wide-eyed, looking for a respirator.
Sends some prayers my way.
I've read articles and seen posts from doctors ztating that no one has been able to isolate a single covid germ I virus out of all the samples various researchers have studied. They've only been able to isolate and identity influenza a and b. That doesn't mean people aren't getting sick. They are. I am not a doctor.
From what I've read and seen I would try this right away. I would try vitamins with b, c, d, and zinc and see if I could get my child to take those. This could be tough, but I would try to get my child to drink a little tonic water mixed with something - not too much, maybe a couple ounces. HCQ has artificial quinine in it. Tonic water has quinine in it. I know doctors who have suggested this too.
