I believe that if Entertainment continues as we know it, we will start to see a larger number of small teams using freely or cheaply available tools that compete with what major studios produce.
Don't believe it possible? Look up some videos made by individuals / small teams, some are Hollywood quality productions using Blender and other free tools.
There's lots of love for Tom around here. Honestly, he's the best English rapper I've listened to since Tupac and Biggie (except early eminem). He's talented, and reminds me of some that I've known (funny that he's from Edmonton), after listening to a bunch of his music i found that most of it is almost as formulaic as the rappers that turned me off from that style. That said, good on him for his success.
That's more or less the idea though, no need for major studios, just make the media you want to make and put it out there. The good will become popular.
