An interesting thing to note is the spotlight, or whatever that is, behind the middle figure's head. It almost looks like a halo from Byzantine era artworks, which were the circles behind the subject's head usually used for depictions of Jesus and other angelic features. Is Pedosta trying to depict these things as upper figures of worship?
