I don't speak for adoptacat, but in our Church, the Sabbath is the only liturgically significant day. We reverence it by commandment. Other Christian holidays, such as Easter or Christmas, we celebrate out of gratitude and tradition, but we don't have a standing commandment by God to perform any particular rites on or for them.
Jewish holy days, such as the Passover or feasts, are objects of study for the curious and have happened to line up with significant events in Church history. Because of this, I believe that although not commanded, it is good for us to at least be familiar with them.
If you look up the Passover and the other feast days, God calls the HIS feast days. Just sayin.
I came out of a Sabbath keeping church because they put more importance on the Sabbath than they did Jesus. Nothing wrong with keeping the Sabbath as long as you keep your perspective. You do get a blessing for observing the Sabbath I believe. We don’t keep it in the sense it is mandatory for salvation.
