It made more sense when Hollywood was the main driver behind culture. People wanted to see if their favorite actors were recognized for the work they were in.
Now there's alot more competition in the entertainment / culture space on top of Hollywood being nothing but a steaming pile of woke dog shit, so nobody gives a fuck about their commy propaganda circle-jerk ceremonies anymore.
for me its dance monkey dance. I dont care if they get an award for it. I pay for them to dance and as far as I am concerned anyone monkey can dance the issue is that not everyone is deserving of monkey status.
I just don't understand how anyone can derive enjoyment from watching wealthy losers pat each other on the back for two hours.
It makes sort of sense with the music awards because there's always performances and tributes to artists who passed away
But with actors...it's a waste of time even more so

when your life revolves around coming home and watching a screen, your options become very limited.
The same people that keep CNN on in the background all the time. I have clients that do this. It's obvious that they're celeb worshippers, too.
