Very odd emergency alert..

Just received an emergency alert on my cell for my area (Southwest Missouri), TORNADO in the immediate area. Not a cloud for 100 miles, nothing on local broadcasts. An omen?

Saint Louis-ish here. Clear skies, cold temperatures, not the first Monday, not 9AM.

Not that the latter two mean anything, but definitely atypical.
