I took this plus the following post that said there are bad actors lurking in the group to mean 2 possibilities:

Anons have date fagged correct dates, and without trying to directly draw attention to this potential problem, GEORGE news is nudging anons to stop date fagging.
Bad actors in the group are date fagging incorrect dates to mess with anons and demoralize the group (not as likely IMO)
