I've met Tim and he is a legit great person. He used to run human trafficking stings for the government. The government would only let him rescue american victims so he often was forced to leave foreign children behind. This is why he started his own organization because he could not accept that. Now he can coordinate directly with the other governments and make sure all victims get rescued.
Never heard of him or his story.
Oh my heart. I cannot imagine the torture on the heart and soul knowing you could have saved more but...you know...beuqacratic red tape.
Our military gladly let the afghanis taped little boys and would discipline soldiers that tried to intervene. This is why I always doubted our brass would ever step up to rescue the republic.
I know a person whose male muslim terp fell in love with him and groped him in his sleep. The guy woke up and shot the terp dead. Our company flew him out of the country within hours it seemed. A huge fine was paid and that guy was finished on the contract. We didn't call it Afghani man love Thursday for nada. They are so repressed.
