Just a thought - why are they lifting the mask requirements now?

All these based states could’ve done it 3 months ago, 6 months ago, 9 months ago...so why now?

On one hand it could be that things are truly winding down. On the other, more cynical hand, I wondered about the timing of this in conjunction with the vaccine roll out.

Could they be easing mask requirements so that when a whole lot of people die from the vaccine, they can point at the people who took off their masks and blame them?

“Aww, we were so closed to beating this thing and then the whole state of Texas took off their masks!” That kind of thing. Makes me wonder more why they openly state that the vaccines are only ~70% effective.
