ridiculous excuse. there was a post about this a few days ago though and after thinking about the law proposed and it's likely consequences to the good people of our society, I'd likely vote against it myself. feel free to read my initial criticism located within this post
I agree. While these laws have good intentions, a gray area needs to be allowed. An 18 year old dating a 13 year old is not rape. That's only a five year difference. Personally I believe the threshold for teens should be sex allowed at 13, but not with someone six or more years older. You could MAYBE draw the line closer to seven. But 12 and under? No. The hammer must fall hard. 1-12 should be innocence with no sexual pressure or influence whatsoever. Kids should be kids. But we also need to revamp our education system and start transitioning kids into adulthood as early as 13 so they can hold up to the responsibility in the event of pregnancy.
Just to be clear I am not advocating for creepy 40 year olds to fuck teenagers. The threshold for dating shouldn't end until 21.
you get it fren. it's complicated for sure which is why a law that locks all people up for life isn't logical. they are already hiding in the shadows. this will only make it worse and make it harder to rid the world best we can of this scourge. if a pedo is looking at life in prison he or she could now be compelled to kill a child in an effort to save themselves from a life in prison as a child molester. that's one awful existence I'd think
The real answer is to lighten laws regarding justice. For example if I had a daughter and caught someone molesting her, I should legally be allowed to shoot that piece of shit as it should be considered "self defense". Now of course the water gets muddy with hearsay type situations at which point an investigating body should do its job. But afterwards if the evidence stacks up, there should be no sentencing, just trigger pulling.
Yes I know the "muh false accusations" and "conspiracy" claims. Guess what? THOSE ARE CRIME TOO. We need less punishment towards law abiding citizens and a much needed end to the perversion of the laws that protect the rights of criminals.
don't disagree with you generally on that stance fren. if stealing your horse is fair game (and it should be), then messing with child in that way certainly should be too
